Future Co-ownership opportunities:
We are looking for a possible co-owner for a female puppy for late 2012-early 2013.

Co-Owning A Puppy

Objective of our co-ownership program

In order to maintain a quality breeding program into the future, Eromit must retain breeding rights on the
most promising puppies from certain litters. In some cases those puppies stay here with us, but since all of
our dogs live as family pets, there are limits to how many we can personally keep. Co-owned puppies live with
their new families where they receive one on one training, attention, and love, but return to Eromit at various
times in their adult life to contribute to our breeding program. This allows each puppy to have an
uncompromised high quality of life while continuing the tradition of superior genetics for our next generation.

Benefits of co-owning a puppy

If you live in within 3-4 hours of Quesnel, you can become involved in our co-ownership program. Co-owning
a puppy allows you to have the breeder's pick puppy from one of our outstanding litters, at a fraction of the
cost. The puppy will live with you and your family, and you will be able to enter in competitions or go hunting
as you see fit. When the puppy is 2 years of age, he or she (usually a she) will return to us for a week or so
while we perform all the mandatory health testing required to be a part of our breeding program. This is done
totally at our expense. The dog will then return to you and live full time with your family except for periods of
breeding, and while the puppies are born and raised. As co-owner, you will have the right to keep a puppy
from your dog's last litter, free of charge, to keep as a pet.   When your dog is retired from breeding, you will
have him or her neutered at your expense and full ownership will be transferred completely to you. You have
the satisfaction of having a high quality Lab, with free health test results, a free puppy, AND the involvement
in our premium breeding program. All expenses related to breeding the dog are on us, of course.

Who can get involved?

Any dog-loving family who lives within a reasonable driving distance of Quesnel and  plans to stay in the area
for at least the next 4-5 years can apply. We prefer a family that has dog ownership experience but will help
you out if you are a first time dog owner. Applicants need to commit to reasonable care and training
expectations, and it is preferred if you are willing to compete or hunt with your puppy in the future, although
this is not necessary. Applicant families may not have another intact dog in the household for the duration of
their dog's breeding career, and need to be aware that they will have to part with their dogs for up to 8 weeks
at a time while puppies are raised at Eromit (although frequent visits are welcome and encouraged during
this time!)
