| This picture shows one puppy lying sideways. His (or her!) head is labelled- to the left of the head, the tiny limbs are folded up near its body. It is really amazing to see the ultrasound - we watch them move around and squirm, and can even hear their heartbeats! |
Jan 24th - Twig is already up to 66 pounds. Her belly is unmistakeable now and I can hear very tiny
heartbeats when I listen with the stethoscope. Her due date is still almost three weeks away. Here are some
pictures I took today.

Feb 7th - Oh we are getting close now! Twig has started nesting and spends some time
each day in the puppy room. Her belly measurement is up to 33 1/2 inches, and her weight
is up to 74 pounds.

Feb 1st - Twig weighed in at 71.6 pounds this morning. She tends to enjoy relaxing these
days - no vigorous play allowed, although she does get plenty of gentle exercise. Her belly
measures 31" at it's biggest point - compare that to a normal belly of about 24 inches!

Feb 11th. Technically Twig is due today although in reality it could be a few more days yet. Her belly is now 36"
around and she is a little restless. Stay tuned for a puppy report in the next few days!
