Interesting Facts about the dogs in this pedigree:
Ruger's sire, "
Levi", was a National Amateur Finalist in 2005, made the High Point list in 2005 and has sired several QAA and derby list
offspring. Ruger's dam is a Senior Hunter named
Angel. Both dogs reside in Nyssa Oregon at Ecstasy River Ranch Retrievers. Levi's
sire is FC AFC Code Blue, who is a member of the Retriever Hall of Fame and was the #1 Open dog in 1998. "
Cody" qualified for 7
nationals and was a finalist in 1994 & 1998. Cody finished his career with 39 derby points, 178.5 Open points and 74 Amateur points.
Cody has sired many, many talented dogs over the years including multiple High Point Open dogs. Levi's Dam, "Kate" was a National
Amateur finalist and had 12.5 all age points. She was sired by the talented "
Cosmo", who was the high point open dog in 1996 and
sire of many great dogs including a National open winner and a National Derby Champ. Angel's sire "Flip" was a handsome black field
trial champion who had over 90 all age points, including 12 open wins and 2 amateur wins. Flip was also a National open finalist.
Flip's sire is the most notable Labrador Retriever of all time: "
Maxx" was sold as a promising 2 year old with over 120 combined derby
points for a reported $125000. With his new owner, won 4 National Amateur Championships, two double headers and also has the
most titled offspring of any Labrador stud, ever! Maxx is a legend in the field trial world.
Lee's dam "Lacey" is a chocolate female that was purchased by a threepeat customer from our kennel. Lacey is a fantastic hunting
dog and was sired by "Renegade", who was my dad's faithful hunting companion for many years. In addition to hunting waterfowl and
upland game birds, Renegade was an avid fox hunter and would retrieve anything shot including beaver or skunk. Renegade was also
the 2nd highest earning Sled Dog Racing Labrador of all time, surpassed only by his daughter Flash. In his racing career, Renegade
earned more than 25 victories as a lead dog competing against the nations fastest huskies. Lacey's mother "
Nestle" is a multi-agility
titled chocolate Lab who is 12 years old and still going strong. Nestle hails from some of the finest chocolate field trial pedigrees of the
era. Lee's grandsire "Buddy" was a chocolate hunting lab well known for siring talented bird dogs. He was imported from the U.S. and
sired many litters throughout western Canada, passing along his talent to each pup produced.
